The one-sentimo coin (1) is the smallest-denomination coin of the Philippine peso. It has been issued since 1903 during American rule. The Ten Centavos coin has a bust of Andres Bonifacio facing 1/4 left inside a circle surrounded by the inscription "LEPER COLONIES AND STATIONS, PHILIPPINE ISLANDS."
